When Your Heart Is Down (Imagine 19:1 -8)

Everyone loses their dreams of life and wanders when they are discouraged. They let go of their lives and let go of their self-indulgence. When the rattlesnake is constantly under stress, the snake later becomes angry, biting and tearing itself apart. The same goes for humans. When humans are angry, they collect air from their mouths, turn it into liquid, and inject it into lab mice, and the mice die instantly. When we are angry, we know that scary poison is produced. When discouraged, we cannot be psychologically stable like this, and the body is toxic and harms our health. They also wander, neglect, and with destructive impulses, they do things that cause personal and social events and accidents, such as harming others or killing themselves. So, why are we discouraged while living in this land?
 

1. a reason to be discouraged

When you are extremely tired, you are discouraged by external stress. When your mind is broken, you cannot handle it on your own. You think you shouldn't do this, but how can you handle it? In the Bible, great prophets like Elijah are uncommon. But Elijah was also discouraged. Elijah had a match against 450 of the prophets of Baal and 400 of Asherah at Mount Galmel. He wrote in verse 18:38, "The fire of Yahweh came down and burned the burnt offering, wood, stone and soil, and licked the water in the ditch. All the people saw and said, 'Jahweh is God. Yahweh is God.' But Elijah said to them, Take the prophet of Baal, and do not let any of them escape. Take him, and Elijah will take them down to the city of Ghishon and die there."

How nervous must he have been to kill 450 of the king's prophets with a sword? Elijah was so tired. How anxious must he have been to compete with the Baal prophets and let the fire come down from the sky? I prayed and shouted with all my heart and soul, and even after the fire came down, I took all the outcasts, caught them, and slashed them by the stream. Elijah returned home after such a great history and was about to take a break, when Jezebel, the wife of King Ahab, contacted me. In Acts 19:1:2, Jezebel sent an envoy to Elijah, saying, "When Ahab told him all that Elijah had done and how he had slaughtered all the prophets with a sword, Jezebel said, 'I will surely equal your life to that of one of those people by this time tomorrow, or the gods will punish me for punishment.' I will kill Elijah in a nutshell. Elijah's heart collapsed at that single word. When you have suffered from a long period of trial and hardship and your mental resistance has weakened, you will collapse and despair. Therefore, when a person is tired, tired, or struggling, nagging them makes them more discouraged. Such a person needs courage and hope, not nagging. No matter how great a person is, when he or she suffers from stress for a very long time, he or she becomes frustrated and despaired. That's why we shouldn't point fingers at people who are discouraged, frustrated, and hopeless. Anyone can be like that.
 

2. to revive the mind

The important thing is that you must revive your mind when you are discouraged and in pain. You must revive your mind either by reviving yourself or with the help of others. In Hebrews 13:5, verse 8 says, "Don't love money, but know what you are doing. He said personally that I will never abandon you and leave you. Therefore, we will not be afraid because you are helping me, who give me the word of God, and I will not be afraid. What can a man do to me? Think of those who told you the word of God and led you, see the end of their deeds, and model their faith. Jesus Christ is the same for ever, yesterday and today." As such, the Lord has said that he will never abandon us and never leave us, so we must confess it boldly. When you are discouraged, frustrated, and hopeless, you must not just keep your mouth closed, resent and complain. You must open your mouth and speak. When you confess boldly with your lips, the grace of the restraint of the cross must be done. When we look at the cross, ask God for help, and ask God for God's help with repentance and tears, God will surely give us hope-filled grace through the Holy Spirit.

Positive words inspire great dreams and hopes. Therefore, we should use positive, hopeful, and creative words for ourselves and others rather than negative words. Positive words and hymns revive our hearts and gain new strength. When you say positive words when you talk to people, the words are embedded deep in your heart and become hope. That is how you gain strength and courage. Therefore, do not say negative words as much as possible. Be a person who gives you courage and hope by saying positive words. And what saved Elijah again was that he made him eat, drink, and rest. When you are so tired and your heart collapses, you should eat, drink, and rest. There is nothing bad about eating and drinking. God awakened Elijah, who was tired to rest, woke him up, put him to sleep, and fed him, so that his mind was revived because his mind and body rested. Not only does one's mind rest by the words of God, but one's body also needs to rest because one sleeps. If you wake up too early and sleep too late, your body loses strength and is easily discouraged by the small things. It means that your body and mind should be healthy together.
 

3. Find outside success and blessings inside

We must not seek blessings outside our hearts, but in our hearts. When the mind succeeds, its success is revealed to the outside. If the mind fails, it produces fruits that fail outside. That's why we must control our thoughts. Therefore, our thoughts must always be filled with success and blessings. When we accept the grace that the Lord gave us with his blood on the cross, our hearts begin to change. That's how our hearts must be filled with success and blessings. Therefore, Proverbs 4:23 states, "Protect your heart more among all that is worth protecting, and the source of life is from here." In this way, we must protect the mind because the source of life comes from the heart.

It is also very effective for us to use faith through the laws of looking to change our minds. Therefore, we must always open the Bible and look at the sky. Our sky is in the Bible. You cannot look at the sky except in the Bible. If you look at the kingdom of God in the Bible and count the stars there, the word of the promise gives us faith in our hearts, and faith gives us God's miracle. Therefore, when we encounter the turmoil of life, we must look at the cross of God. The truth of the cross is eternal truth, even though it is dark, dark, and irreplaceable.


We often get tested, discouraged, and fall. But just because we fall, God never abandons us and never leaves us. Just because we fall spiritually, God never abandons us. There is always a good God with us. We must believe in it even 1%. And because we admit it with our mouth, we must water our faith and build a house of faith. Therefore, we can do it. You have to do it. You have to do it. You have to confess, "God is a good God. Good things will happen to me. I have faith." One percent faith is enough. We confess with our lips to bear fruit. Therefore, even if we fall down in discouragement, it eventually happens. You have to think, believe, look, dream, and admit it.

God of love! Our lives are fragile, so we fall every day and our hearts collapse. That is why we need the grace of the Lord and the help of the Holy Spirit. Please guide us every day to think, trust, see, dream, and admit the grace and blessings of the Lord in our hearts! Please allow us the courage to rise again even if we are discouraged in this harsh world!
